The City of South Burlington issues Requests for Proposals/Qualifications and Bids for City projects as part of our competitive procurement process. Materials must be addressed and delivered as directed in each request, call or notice.  Any materials not submitted by the specified due date and time will not be accepted, and considered disqualified.

 

VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The City of South Burlington is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering firms detailing the firms’ qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, references, and related prior experience. Required professional services will include design and construction of multiuse fields with proper drainage and irrigation (specifically soccer) with potential for an artificial turf design and installation, as well as retrofitting or refurbishing existing multiuse fields with appropriate drainage and irrigation (specifically soccer and baseball), dug out design and replacement, preparation of bidding and contract documents, participation in the evaluation of bids received, and monitoring and inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications associated with the City of South Burlington’s Veteran’s Memorial Park Improvements.

All bids shall be accepted by Silken Kershner via email (skershner@southburlingtonvt.gov) prior to 2:00 PM May 24, 2024. Emailed submissions shall include a subject line of “South Burlington Veterans Memorial Park RFQ”.  Failure to submit qualifications package on time may be cause for rejection of the bid.

The South Burlington Fire Department is requesting pricing information for a ladder truck and associated equipment outlined herein.

Scope of Work
The City of South Burlington, Vermont is now accepting proposals for the construction of a modern ladder truck.

Proposal Evaluation & Rejection and Acceptance of Proposals
The City reserves the right to consider proposals for 150 days after receipt thereof. The City further reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all bids, wholly or in part, to waive any informalities or any irregularities thereon, to accept exemptions to these specifications, to accept any bid even though it may not be the lowest bid, to call for rebids, to negotiate with any bidder, and to make an award which in its sole and absolute judgment will best serve the City’s interest. The City reserves the right to investigate the financial responsibility of any and all bidders to determine the ability of the bidder to assure service throughout the term of the contract. The selection of a vendor shall be made without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, physical or mental condition, HIV status, military service, or political affiliation. Proposals may be sent via US Mail, or delivered in person to the South Burlington Fire Department Main Offices located at 575 Dorset Street, South Burlington Vermont 05403. Proposals should be sent to the attention of Deputy Chief Christopher Corbin.

Call for Public Art Gallery Curator

The South Burlington Public Art Committee (SBPAC) of South Burlington, Vermont is seeking a Curator for the City of South Burlington Public Art Gallery located in the South Burlington Public Library and City Hall building at 180 Market Street. The gallery opened in July 2021, mounting its first exhibition in August 2021.
The SBPAC is interested in appointing a Curator for one year, resulting in a minimum of four and a maximum of six exhibitions spaced roughly 3 months apart. Appointments may be extended at the discretion of the Committee.

OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS:  Show in the Public Gallery at 180 Market Street

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:  The City of South Burlington Curator is seeking artists interested in show work in the City's public gallery in the main hall at the South Burlington Public Library and City Hall.  Artists are sought to develop a full calendar of 4-6 shows per year.  This gallery is managed by the Public Art Committee and has no point of sale (artists may provide information for purchase at the Welcome Desk).  Please learn more and submit your interest in showing in the gallery here.
