Zoning Administrative Officer

This position serves as the City’s lead staff person in the review, issuance, administration, and enforcement of zoning, sign and related permitting, in close coordination with the Director of Planning & Zoning, Development Review Board, and staff throughout the City. 

Effective communication, exceptional organization skills, ability to work in a digital environment, and ability to operate in a regulatory environment are critical traits of the position. The position includes frequent interaction with applicants, residents, developers, and staff peers. The Zoning Administrative Officer has the authority and responsibility for interpretation of the City’s Land Development Regulations, with decisions being legally appealable. Library Clerk Substitute
Immediate need. Per diem. 

The South Burlington Public Library is seeking a candidate with excellent customer service skills who works with accuracy. The ability to learn library technology quickly and to train others in basic computer functions is required. Familiarity with adult and young adult literature is desirable.
